Esperanza was active in cheerleading. She has had extensive volunteer experience at City Animal Hospital doing everything from sterilizing tools for surgeries to scheduling appointments. Her volunteer work led to a paid position. She plans to be a veterinarian.

Esperanza credits Riverside with teaching her “how to get ready for life after high school, math that was advanced, science that was interesting and fun.”

Esperanza’s teachers recognized her intrinsic motivation, how invested she was in the classroom, and how talented and compassionate she is.
