Jalen anticipates attending MATC initially to pursue engineering. While at Riverside, Jalen participated in football and baseball. He was active in the community by assisting youth at The Boys and Girls Club and MPS recreation Department. 

Jalen wrote in his application that “My mom and dad always tried to teach me the values of finishing high school and going off to college so that I can pursue a career so I don’t have to work as hard as they are working now.” 

Teachers described Jalen as caring, mature, dependable, trust worthy and respectful.
